Growing...

In August, Steve and I found out we were expecting our first baby. Sweet baby Brown will be joining our family sometime in late April. We are so so SO excited to start planning the expansion of our little family.
First Trimester
The big nasty 1st Trimester was not the most fun part of this journey. I thought I would be able to sail right through it without one single symptom of morning sickness. LOL....welllllll, I was great until week 6. Then the "beauty" of pregnancy set it:-)
Here is a picture of Baby Brown at 8 weeks. His/her heart rate was 173. Hearing it was the coolest thing!
Here are a few pictures of me growing...

So here we are closing in on week
Week 16 - Baby Brown is growing like a weed:-)

In two weeks we will find out who will be joining our family! We are simply praying for a healthy, happy little baby.

My Yearly Post

It looks as though I only post once a year to my blog...that is UNACCEPTABLE!
Too many good things happen throughout the year not to write about them! I am going to make a HUGE effort to stay up-to-date with my blog to keep the folks back home in the loop with my our life:-)

Here is a snapshot of the most recent happenings since I posted a year ago...
Little Mullett..Grew Up

So did little Bennett Man...

So did Sweet Caroline

And so did Steve's Hair!

The Fall came and my Mom, Dad, Steve, Mullett,Pearl and I all visited North Caroline. I LOVE the Fall... and guess what...it's almost here AGAIN!

This is actually a picture from the road that leads to our house in Alpharetta.

Here is a picture of my "inner-stage mom" coming out...LOL

Pearl dressed up as Snookie for Halloween.

A picture of my Mum by the Mums;-)

Such a good time in NC!

The rest of this post is is to be continued...because my good friend Jessica, who was pregnant with baby drew, (in my last post)gave birth exactly one year ago today and I have to go get ready for the PAR-TAY!
HAPPY 1st Birthday Drew!

Stay tuned! Big things are coming to the Brown House in 2012!

Living in Fast Forward...

Wow! I just realized that it is August 2010 and I promised to blog daily for the entire year. Another year, another broken resolution...oops. 2010 has not been a typical year. It has been very busy and full of change. Here is a brief recap: January: Mom and Dad came to visit. Mom caved in and bought Steve a camo recliner...gggrrr She bought me a Dyson(which makes cleaning fun!)
I love this picture of my Dad and Buddy....Classic!

Steve decided to go back to school. I am so proud of him! He attened college this Winter semester.

01/28/10-To my surprise my brother Will and his wife, Carly, welcomed Baby Caroline Elizabeth into the world. She is so precious and beautiful. I say, "to my surprise," because Will and Carly did not find out what they were having until "D-Day." Since little girls are scarce on the Lambert side I just new they were having a boy. I am sooooo excited to get to spoil her and buy her lots of fun girly stuff!

February:
I resigned from my job at Envision Communications. Hey, why not in the middle of the worst economic times... it was a bitter sweet professional move but much needed. I owe a great big thank you to my wonderful Husband for allowing me to "regroup." I sure do miss all the wonderful friends I made. I spent my first week jobless getting caught up on thank you notes from our wedding in November the decided to venture out and see what actually goes on between the hours of 9 to 5 when most are working. Things I discovered: Starbucks is basically a ghost town, Atlanta traffic is like being back on HWY 17 in Bowling Green(sike I wish), the dog park is full of retired men, the mall is full of moms and babies, The View is actually an interesting show, I am now a "current events" wizard because I get to catch the early morning, lunchtime, afternoon and evening news, cooking is not all the hard when you have time to fix what you ruin before your husband gets home and Facebook is not really all that great when you have unlimited access to it.

We celebrated Bennett's first Birthday at his Great Aunt Annie's house. Happy Birthday Mr. Bennett.

March
Steve and I visited FL. with Pearl our sweet Labrador!

Look at how much Caroline has grown!

After replacing the radiator in my Explorer 3 times in less than one year. Steve and I decide that it is time to search for another car. While visiting my mom and dad down in FL. We traded cars with my Dad. Steve now drives my Dad's truck and I drive his Explorer. Good by ol' girl. I sure will miss you. Lot's of great memories and many milestones and miles covered in that car!

While in FL. I took Steve to Pioneer Park Days in Zolfo Springs, FL....enough said.

When we got back to Atlanta from our FL trip Steve decided to shave his head:

One Day when we are Really Really Really old...and Steve has no hair...I will remind him of the day he decided to shave all his hair off for fun.

April
Steve and I went with his family to Christina and Rob's farm in South Carolina. What a beautiful place. We had so much fun riding 4-wheelers, gettings Steve's truck stuck, taking a "little" hike with Rob and Christina, Pearl and Mr. Brown to find a waterfall(maybe Steve will not wear snake boots for the next 5 mile hike), baiting wild hogs, shooting the "pink gun" going to eat at the best BBQ place in South Carolina and enjoying great family time by the fire pit.

Steve and I decided to surprise my mom and dad and just show up at their house for a visit. Steve had some alterations done on his truck in Newnan, GA and after they were complete we headed to Bowling Green. We timed it just right because my mom and dad were leaving to go out to dinner as we were pulling in. I will never forget my mom's face...it took her several minutes to realize it was us. Of course my brother Will kept saying we came down to tell everyone I was expecting...thanks will. I hope you have triplet girls next time:-) (j/k Carly)

Look at Caroline this month...so sweet!

We also attended the "Taste of Marietta." Lots of fun! We even ran into some of Steve's co workers. Great Food! May This month was full of fun! Steve surprised his Dad and Grandfather with tickets to see the Atlanta Braves play. I was so excited because I had never been to a Braves game...we had lots of fun on the 5th row above the Braves dugout. Thanks Steve! Great Memory!

Steve also surprised his mom for mother's day with Zac Brown tickets. Zac Brown can put on a show. We sure did have a great time watching him play! This was also a VERY big month for Bennett...he learned to walk. I was able to capture some of his steps! Let's just say he can run now:-) GO BENNETT GO!

Ashley came to visit me for a WHOLE week! She is such a good friend. We had so much fun shopping and catching up. I miss Ashley!

While Ashley was visiting Steve's beloved camo recliner broke...After two trips to replace it, the good folks at Bass Pro Shop were so generous and replaced it for him twice(long story)
Anyways....we are now the proud owners of the BIGGEST and BEST camo recliner that Bass Pro Shop has to offer...lovely.

Steve and I ventured down to Newnan, GA again to have more alterations done to his pride and joy...AKA his truck. While we were waiting we decided to partake in a friendly game of golf. What a fun day! Steve and I played 18 holes of golf in the BLAZING GA sun! It was worth it.

June
Well June sure was an eventful month. Steve took up Mountain Biking and adopted a puppy. Meet Mullet Brown!

My dear sweet friend from high school, Eileen, was killed in a car accident. She was such a beautiful person and full of life. She had the best style and always knew how to find a great sale! She will forever be in my heart and I will never forget all of our Cheerleading memories. Rest in peace Eileen.

Bennett graduated from swim class.

Maggie, Steve's childhood dog, a 15+ year old Golden Retriever, passed away. Good Ol' Maggie. She was such a gentle soul. A great dog that will never be forgotten!

July
We visited FL for a week over the 4th of July. Pearl AND Mullet came along with us. Steve and I were realllllllllly looking forward to the FL sun...however it didn't show up. It rained EVERY day we were there. Despite the daily showers. It was still VERY nice to see my family and enjoy some "dock time" on Lake June. Look how big Caroline is getting. PS Mullet and Pearl enjoyed themselves!

Mullet loves his big sister:-)

A very special friend of mine, from Atlanta, is expecting her first baby in September. Jessica had an wonderful baby shower. She has some great childhood friends! Some of my other Envision cromies came too! It was so nice seeing them all. It has been WAY TOO LONG.
Jessica is going to make the best MOMMY ever! I can't wait to meet baby Drew Sindersine! He is one lucky boy to have parents like Jessica and Andrew.

Spent some time with Bennett Man! He is such a happy child.

August
As summer draws to an end, I am finding myself going a little stir crazy. I need a project. I miss working and growing professionally. I also miss my love for shoes and being able to buy them on a whim. I can't wait to see where I land with my next career. I am so so so very lucky to have such a supportive husband who has encouraged me to take this journey. I love him so much.

Mullet growing. and growing. And growing...

Recently, Steve had a bad fall on his mountain bike. Luckily he is ok.
